Facial Massage

This facial massage is combined with a therapeutic scalp massage which will leave you feeling totally relaxed.

Natural products are used to gently cleanse the skin of the face and neck. Gentle massage helps to stimulate the circulation, lymphatic drainage and cell regeneration.

As part of a facial massage, the neck, shoulders and d?collet? areas will be massaged.

Why would I have a Facial Massage?

Apart from being a totally blissful and relaxing experience, facial treatments can help:

  • To ease tension and depression
  • To diminish muscular pain
  • Cleanse, tone and refine blemished or oily skin
  • Aid regeneration of mature skin
  • Stimulate cellular function of dry or dehydrated skin
  • Cleanse and balance normal skin
Benefits of a facial massage
  • Soothing & relaxing: indicated for tired, tense, nervous and depressed clients.
  • Relieves muscular tension, reduces fibrous nodules and stimulates the removal of lactic acid.
  • Increases metabolic function and cell regeneration.
  • Desquamation: removes cellular waste, exfoliates corneum, reduces fibrous formations.
  • Deeply cleanses & warms tissues; pores are relaxed so that nourishing creams can be introduced.
  • Improves pliability of the skin & smoothes surface by lubricating, reducing rough texture & plumping out the tissues.
  • Stimulates the sensory nerves, increasing the responsiveness of tissues.
  • Promotes good arterial circulation and venous drainage.
  • Stimulates lymphatic drainage, increases activity of lymph glands, improving immunity to disease.
  • Improves texture and colour of skin, refines pores, assists poor circulation.
  • Increases tissue respiration gives a fresher look to the skin.
By deep cleansing & warming the tissues the skin is prepared for further treatments.
  • Helps to redistribute fatty tissue; breakdown of fatty deposits.
Tones facial muscles by improving circulation & evoking contraction/relaxation response to stimulating movements.
  • Encourages glandular secretions so that more sebum & moisture are available on the surface of the skin.
  • Aids absorption of excess fluid & fatty deposits; pressure plus warmth plus lymphatic flow
Scalp Treatments

This relaxing treatment will leave you floating on air. If you like having your hair played with, then this will be pure bliss for you!

Any tension in your scalp will be eased away, and you will experience an overwhelming sensation of relaxation brought about by the release of tension in the muscles covering the scalp.

If you experience headaches, neck tension, eye strain then this treatment will help to relax the associated muscles. People who spend hours at the computer, or driving long distances will also benefit greatly from a scalp massage.

A scalp treatment can be added on to a facial treatment, or given as an independent treatment.

A scalp massage involves the use of oil or a conditional hair mask, which is massaged into the scalp area. This will nourish both the hair and the scalp.
An Indian Head Massage is a dry massage, where no oils are used. This means that you can return to your day without scary hair!

Both treatments include massage to the neck and shoulders. See press coverage regarding researchers at the University of Leeds: Neck massage 'helps blood pressure'
